Guitar - Christopher was singing and scatting in Europe when a girl came out of the audience and said "All you can do is sing, but you can't play an instrument!"  Not realizing his voice WAS an instrument he decided to pick up the guitar.  He was introduced to the guitar by jazz guitarist David France who was playing with The Major Boyd Jazz All-stars in Germany at that time.  His first chord was a ‘7+9th’ and he’s been hooked on jazz ever since.
Flute - After returning to the US, (Cleveland, OH) he met a group that was being formed (fashioned after ’Thee Four” who along with Hammond B3, Guitar, Bass and Drums, doubled on horns that produced a very full sound from Four guys) and was accepted as the lead singer, but was required to learn a second instrument. He tried a flute (because it was light) and after acquiring his tone...became hooked on it and has been playing it ever since.

Piano - was the third instrument that Christopher added to the mix.  Seemed that the voicing led to some interesting songwriting outlets.  So every opportunity; he studied with the best...most memorable...Dave Rio [Music Theory] Bill Gidney [Piano] and John Steeble [Guitar] who opened his mind to the endless creative possibilities that music offers to each and every one of us.
