Born in Detroit, Michigan in the Motown days, his family moved to Cleveland where fortunately, the music scene was just as happening. He cut his musical chops singing background for Dave Cee and The Sharptones with their top ten hit ‘Diane’. After graduating High School, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Europe.
The result of singing with Saxophonists Major Boyd’s Jazz All-stars (A Seven piece Band) in Germany, opened up the world of Jazz and scatting to him and he’s picked up several instruments along his path.
But after playing with the group he first met in Cleveland, he met a rock n’ Roll group that was just being formed called ‘Marvin Gardens’ that became the talk of the state. For the next couple years the group rocked clubs throughout Ohio. But the smooth groove of Latin and Jazz finally won out and back he went to his love - songwriting Pop/Jazz pieces.
Shortly afterward, he went to Los Angeles to fine tune his songwriting talents and learn all aspects of the music business. He worked on his songwriting and recording crafts which wove a path that eventually brought him back to New York.
Additionally, Christopher has been indoctrinated in the Artist Roster with the Westchester Arts Council, White Plains, NY, for his Interactive Jazzical Learning Programs, and performs in school systems in the tri-state area.
